On Tuesday morning (29/10), Santander Brazil held the Challenges and Achievements of Entrepreneurship event: How to create the present and future of your Business, at the new Getnet headquarters in Porto Alegre (RS). Led by economist Ítalo Franca from Santander, the gathering brought together more than 80 entrepreneurs who could learn from the experience of three standout entrepreneurs in the Rio Grande do Sul scene: Sérgio Rosa, CEO of Banca do Holandês; Matheus Viezzer, Commercial Head of Viezzer Supermarkets; and Ricardo Frozi, founder of Recheadinhos.
The action is part of the Avançar program, a non-financial solution from Santander aimed at supporting entrepreneurship. The objective is to promote panels for sharing stories, challenges, and lessons learned in the entrepreneurial journey. Besides being a networking and experiences exchange space, it is also an inspiring moment to support entrepreneurs from different sectors.
Get to know the highlights of Santander’s Avançar program in Porto Alegre:
Sérgio Rosa from Banca do Holandês is one of the most well-known and respected figures in the Public Market of Porto Alegre. His business has over a century of tradition. Since its founding in 1907, it has maintained its original location and resilience, despite fires, floods, and significant changes in the economy.
Entrepreneur Matheus Viezzer from Viezzer Supermarkets joined his family’s company at the age of 12 to learn the entire routine of supermarket operations. Within the organization, he held various positions and is now responsible for the business. Viezzer, at 37 years old, is already an established chain in Canoas. Last year, it began expanding to Esteio and Porto Alegre.
Ricardo Frozi, from Recheadinhos, started entrepreneuring at a very young age, renting his video game tapes. He worked as an office boy, played soccer, drove for a ride-sharing app, worked as a travel agent, among many other roles. This continued until 2017 when he created Recheadinhos in Lomba do Pinheiro, a stall selling stuffed cheese bread. His focus has always been on quality and affordable prices, and with great effort, he is building an admirable story.
