DoTERRA, the market leader in aromatherapy and essential oils, achieved a remarkable 10-fold increase in order volume, while reducing in 60% the queries on delivery status. This milestone was made possible thanks to several actions promoted by the company, among them, the creation of a project in partnership with Intelipost, a leading provider of logistics intelligence, specifically with TMS (Transport Management System), a complete software aimed at route management, freight calculation, dispatch management, delivery tracking, invoice auditing among other functionalities.
In 2019, the company dispatched approximately 17 thousand packages per month. This number reached the mark of 170 thousand packages sent monthly to a base of more than 400 thousand active customers. DoTERRA presented room for improvements in its logistics operation in Brazil, before implementing the Intelipost solution. The manual process of updating the status of orders resulted in a high number of customer contacts in search of information about the delivery, impacting the service team. In addition, obstacles such as the manual generation of shipping labels were obstacles that directly impacted the operational efficiency of the company.
“We were looking for a reliable solution for data collection and organization to improve our decisions with logistics partners. At first, we adhered to TMS with its standard market options, but the partnership went further and allowed a synergy and customization of the features for growth of both. Intelipost was one of the partners in the entire process that allowed us to increase our sales and, in return, the logistics company had gains in its customized service expertise for continuous improvement of” processes, says Alan Pereira, Logistics Manager at doTERRA.
