Exclusive courses, access to giveaways, and billing boards are some of the benefits offered by the Yampi, an e-commerce platform, in its Rewards Program. Launched in December 2023, the initiative encourages the growth of clients, both large and small retailers, and boosts online sales.
The program has 12 levels that function as phases of a “game.” In level 1, the retailer is considered “bronze diamond” and needs to perform actions in the admin panel, such as making initial store configurations, creating upsell or order bump and checking in the app. From level 2 onwards, progress depends on the accumulation of values from paid orders.
By June 2024, a total of 33% of all participants reached the first level of the program. Of these, 66% moved on to the second level and, subsequently, 86% to the third. Six months after its launch, there were over 12,908 rewards redeemed, physical or digital.
According to the company’s product manager, Karol Walczak, the progress of the stores can be visualized through a “progress trail.” As they surpass milestones and move on to the next levels, they receive prizes that will help them sell more.
According to the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), motivation and goal focus are influenced by the creation of incentive programs. In e-commerce systems, they stimulate the growth of the retailer and the platform itself.
Program promotes professional development
Educational content is the most redeemed award by retailers in Yampi’s Rewards Program. The video course ‘How to sell more with Yampi’ has been redeemed 2,727 times. Meanwhile, the ‘Content Marketing Checklist’ was accessed by 1,832 retailers and the ‘Special video to master Canva tool’ by 1,369.
With the strengthening of digital commerce and a 56% growth in the number of online stores in 2023, as indicated by Yampi’s survey, this type of material keeps entrepreneurs informed and engaged on relevant subjects and brings advantages in a competitive scenario.
According to Walczak, Yampi follows the merchant’s journey from the beginning and develops ways to assist them in achieving their goal of thriving in electronic commerce.
“It has been valuable months of learning. As we follow the merchant’s journey from the first steps in Rewards, we are constantly learning ways to help them achieve their goal of enrichment through e-commerce. We are already thinking about improvements and new rewards to further assist every merchant who joins Yampi,” he assesses.
Access to the draw for the Facebook Ads course at the British School of Creative Arts & Technology (EBAC) was also among the benefits offered, as well as store analysis by experts from Dominar Digital, an e-commerce specialized agency, and the provision of a spreadsheet where the client can check the main metrics of their company.
Retailers receive billing plaques in the final stages
According to the Incentive Research Foundation study, 90% of top-performing companies have a sales incentive program. With Yampi’s Rewards Program, retailers are encouraged to take actions on the platform and, consequently, increase their revenue.
From the eighth tier, billing boards are available to celebrate business success, as well as retrospectives with the store’s best moments in stories format to share on social media.
Over 1,022 retrospectives redeemed and 1,154 boards of five models: purple diamond commemorating 250,000 in sales, pink diamond (500,000), violet diamond (one million), purple diamond (five million), and black diamond (ten million).
Physical rewards have a production deadline and are sent to the retailer’s address, along with tracking information. To be fair, all participating stores in the program started with zero revenue, even if they had already made sales. Only owners have access to rewards.
