At the end of the first half of September, the average price per liter of regular diesel was found to be R$ 6.11, with a 0.16% increase from the August total, while the S-10 diesel was sold at an average of R$ 6.17, after a 0.16% reduction. This is indicated by the latest analysis from the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at fuel stations, providing an accurate average.
“The average price of diesel remains above R$ 6 at the beginning of this quarter. This trend of stability was identified across the country with fuel prices decreasing between 0.15% and 0.33% and increasing between 0.17% and 0.34% in the five Brazilian regions,” analyzes Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.
Despite recording the most significant increases in diesel prices of both types, at 0.34%, the Southern Region had the lowest averages nationwide for both, with regular type at R$ 5.94 and S-10 at R$ 5.99. On the other hand, the largest reductions were identified in the Central-West, where the regular price decreased by 0.33% and S-10 by 0.32%, closing the half at R$ 6.13 and R$ 6.26, respectively. In the Northern Region, IPTL identified the most significant averages, R$ 6.70 for regular and R$ 6.58 for S-10.
Among the states and the Federal District, the largest reductions were recorded in Rio Grande do Norte, where the regular became 1.92% cheaper and ended the period at R$ 6.13, and the S-10 reduced by 1.28%, closing the half at R$ 6.17. With a price of R$ 6.21 per liter, Espírito Santo recorded the most significant increase for regular diesel, at 0.98%. The greatest increase for S-10, of 0.59%, was identified in Rondônia, where the liter was found at an average of R$ 6.77.
The most expensive fuels nationwide were recorded at the fuel pumps in Amapá, which sold regular for R$ 7.39 and S-10 for R$ 7.45. The cheapest regular diesel was found in Rio Grande do Norte, at R$ 6.13, and the most economical S-10 in Paraná, at R$ 5.96.
