According to the retail and card payment statistics recently published by the Central Bank of Brazil, in 2023 card transactions reached approximately 108.7 billion operations, corresponding to 624 transactions per capita. The financial amount of these transactions reached R$ 99.7 trillion, which is about 9.1 times the GDP. Compared to 2022, these numbers represented an increase of 31% in the number of transactions and 9% in the transaction volume.
With the payment market growing rapidly, Klok Tech has created a platform to promote the efficiency and scalability of businesses in different sectors. The solution is the Kear system, a PaaS (Platform as a Service) platform that offers complete, end-to-end management for clients’ financial service portfolios, allowing them to focus on their respective core business. With a wide range of partners, including some of the largest payment processors in the portfolio, Klok operates mainly in retail, offering its solutions to over 40 clients in the country, including C&A Pay and Vuon Card.
According to Renata Cinci, Commercial Head of Klok Tech, the company plans to expand its partnerships and reach new customers while staying connected to results. ‘The platform was created to promote business efficiency and scalability, so our goal is to expand the portfolio to banks and fintechs, further expanding the partnership with payment processors, as well as continuing to promote the retail portfolio,’ she explains.
Renata highlights that the main goal of partnerships between Klok and companies like Vuon Card and C&A Pay is to provide B2B integrative solutions, becoming a facilitator that connects and integrates different market players. “This promotes a more comprehensive and efficient business management, securely, technologically, and interdependently.”
For Renata, providing service to major clients like Vuon Card and C&A Pay has been a significant catalyst for innovation within Klok. “Improvement proposals and platform evolution are continuous, and as we live in a very dynamic world, with technology, it couldn’t be different. Since Klok’s foundation in 2021, we have evolved the platform significantly and invested 20% of our revenue in innovation,” she comments.
Klok’s solutions have helped clients achieve their goals in various ways, from ease in integrating with insurance companies, assistance, and dental plans, to configuring products and business rules, to complete management (from sales to invoicing), simplifying day-to-day operational flows.
Collaboration with Vuon Card has generated significant results: “In addition to supporting them in managing and expanding the portfolio as a whole, Klok implemented services such as notifying financial service subscriptions and automatic annual price adjustments for insurance and assistance, all of extreme relevance to operational efficiency,” explains Renata.
In the case of C&A Pay, Klok also offers Kear Web, a responsive website that allows the offering of insurance and assistance to the public who prefers to make their purchases using a branded credit card, i.e., an additional channel for sales and revenue. “We work with a focus on the ecosystem, end to end, from integration to the front end of our client’s sales,” Renata concludes.
