With more than 300 thousand users, 20 million connections and hundreds of couples formed, the dating app Listen to Love announces its international expansion. Launched in Brazil in 2022 with a focus on the Black community, the platform was officially launched in Cape Verde during the country’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Starting in August, the app will be available in six new markets: Guinea-Bissau, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Mozambique, Portugal, Spain, and Senegal.
More than expanding its geographical presence, the Listen to Love reaffirms its purpose of promoting genuine and representative encounters between Black people. The platform aims to create a global network of affection that values the identity, culture, and ancestry of Black people. “Our mission has always been to connect people authentically and safely, celebrating Black diversity. The choice of countries for expansion is strategic: all have strong historical and cultural ties to Brazil and are home to significant black populations, which often find little representation in traditional dating apps. “Denga Love fills this gap, strengthening a global network of connections between black people,” he emphasizes. With its international expansion, the platform plans to launch new features that enhance the user experience while respecting the particularities of each cultural context. “We want to be more than a dating app: we are a movement that unites the stories, cultures, and affections of the Black community around the world,” he states.
