The Black Friday phenomenon continues to mobilize retail and Brazilian consumers. According to Ipsos, 76% of consumers plan to use Black Friday 2024 promotions to advance their Christmas shopping, with an average ticket exceeding R$ 500. The data, already consolidated in the national calendar, confirms its impact with the numbers presented by Intelipost, a leader in logistics intelligence, in an exclusive report for its over 700 clients.
According to Intelipost, the highest freight quote peaks on the famous Friday occur at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., revealing consumers' anxiety to take advantage of offers early in the day. Another relevant data point is the nighttime behavior on the days before and after Black Friday. On Thursday, for example, there was a significant increase of 38% in quotes compared to 2022, with peaks concentrated between 8 pm and 10 pm – evidence that consumers are becoming increasingly attentive and strategic in monitoring promotions.
Black Friday 2023 also set records at TMS Intelipost: on the eve, there were over 20,000 freight quotes per minute, while Friday's peak reached an impressive 25,000 quotes per minute.
