New research conducted by Kwai, a short video creation and sharing app, reveals the strong entrepreneurial profile of its community. The survey, which polled 39,915 active users in August, indicates that 48% of them own their own business. The study provides an overview of the sectors in which this audience operates, the challenges and aspirations they face, and also highlights the platform's role in business development and brand connections.
The study points to a dynamism and diversity of sectors: 21% of entrepreneurs work in general services, such as cleaning, maintenance and gardening, while 18.7% work in food, including restaurants, lunch counters and snack bars. Furthermore, more than half (53%) are starting their own businesses and have already used the app (36%) to find suppliers, partners or to get ideas for their businesses.
The desire to evolve is a hallmark of these entrepreneurs: 62% want to professionalize and expand their businesses. But they also face significant challenges: 31% cite the difficulty in better promoting their work, and 25% point to increasing sales as the main obstacle. In this scenario, 45% believe that obtaining credit or a loan would be crucial for the growth of their businesses.
The survey also highlights that there is still a receptiveness to digital solutions aimed at businesses: 67% of respondents stated that they would watch advertisements for products or services that are useful for their businesses. Similarly, interest in more business-related content is constant, as 7 out of 10 users would like to see more publications aimed at entrepreneurs.

Methodology – The “Entrepreneurship on Kwai” survey was conducted using a questionnaire within the application, between August 1st and 10th. 39,915 active users on the platform were surveyed during this period.
