October was a great month for Brazilian e-commerces, becoming the4th best month of the year (behind January, March and July), with 2.5 billion monthly hits. According to the E-commerce Sectors Report in Brazil, in relation to September,growth was 5.4%, mainly caused by the increase in web access (6.1%) and applications (3.1%).
The major highlights of the month were the Education, Books & Stationery sectors, with a 9.8% growth, and Tourism and Jewelry & Watches, which grew by 9.3% and 8.5% respectively. The only sector that showed a decline was Home and Furniture, which decreased by 0.1%, demonstrating how October was a positive month for almost all sectors.
Another highlight of the month wasthe Chinese Shein which surpassed the Brazilian Magazine Luiza, with 81 million hits. The platform took 6th place in the Top 10 e-commerces in Brazil,something that hasn't happened since July 2023. Shein is one of the highlights when it comes to access via apps, being the third e-commerce with the most access via app, losing only to Mercado Livre and Shopee, which lead the ranking by far.
Top 10 companies hold51.5% of all e-commerce audience in Brazil,with Mercado Livre maintaining the leadership, with 13.4% of the total share, followed by Shopee with 8.8% and Amazon Brazil with 7.9%. Check the report here.

Tourism has the second highest increase among sectors and places 3 companies in the Top 15
October marked a high in the tourism sector, which grew 9,3%compared to September, with 219 million visitors. Two companies stood out, achieving a total of 5 positions gained in the overall ranking of e-commerce in Brazil.
Latam rose 3 positions and reached 13th place, with 27 million. Meanwhile, Airbnb gained two positions and now ranks 15th in the ranking – totaling 25 million monthly visits. With Booking.com in 11th position, the tourism sector now has 3 companies in the Top 15, demonstrating the sector's good performance in Brazil.
Within the sector, the company that grew the most wasBuser, with an increase of 27.1%In the monthly comparison, reaching the Top 10 of the category for the first time, achieving 6 million accesses. The company ranks 10th. The ranking is led by Booking.com, followed by Latam and Airbnb, respectively.
