Parfin, a digital asset infrastructure company powering global finance on the blockchain, has announced the appointment of Jiten Varu as Head of Growth. This move strengthens Parfin's international expansion, focusing on Rayls, a Layer 2 blockchain ecosystem ensuring scalability and efficiency, and the Parfin Platform, a solution that enables regulated institutions to manage digital assets in an integrated manner.
With a focus on Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Parfin aims to position Rayls as the leading Layer 2 solution for financial institutions worldwide. This strategy leverages the mature web3 landscape in the region, where Parfin intends to build upon its success with projects in Latin America, such as with the Central Bank of Brazil on the DREX project (Brazilian CBDC) and Santander, to expand into new regions. To support this plan, Parfin has participated in major industry events such as Merge Madrid and Token2049, and will be present at the upcoming Singapore FinTech Festival.
Jiten is also a member of investment committees and serves as an advisor and mentor to various startups and organizations in the financial sector, including Algorand Accelerate, Neventa Capital, Outlier Ventures, among others.
At Parfin, Jiten will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies aligned with the company's sales and business objectives. He will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to build and optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities.
Jiten will also focus on engaging potential clients in the financial services sector, promoting the adoption of Parfin's blockchain platforms. Furthermore, he will manage strategic partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, and institutional investors, co-creating products that expand the company's market presence.
“Jiten's experience in technology and growth within the financial market will be crucial as we expand Rayls and transform digital asset infrastructure in Brazil and beyond,” stated Marcos Viriato, CEO of Parfin.
Jiten is an advocate for using disruptive technology to create customer-centric operational models, focusing on generating sustainable value and growth accelerators. He joins Parfin at a crucial time, as the company seeks to expand its presence in global markets and continue leading innovation in the digital asset sector.
“Parfin has created a powerful blockchain platform, Rayls, which will assist various companies around the world. It will be rewarding to be part of this journey and contribute to the growth of the brand, which has enormous potential,” stated Jiten Varu, Parfin's new Head of Growth.
Rayls is the first Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchain ecosystem that unifies permissioned and public blockchains, simultaneously providing enterprise-grade privacy, scalability, interoperability, and decentralization. The ecosystem offers tailored solutions for financial use cases, including the tokenization of financial instruments, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), IMF settlements, intra-institutional transactions, and cross-border exchange. Parfin's focus on Rayls and the Parfin Platform aims to empower regulated institutions with secure and compliant blockchain solutions. The company leads innovation in the digital asset space and is expanding its global presence, particularly in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Driven by regulatory advancements under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework and the success of implementations in Latin America, Parfin is also expanding its platform, with its Crypto as a Service (CaaS) solution, into the EMEA and APAC regions. CaaS is fundamental to the Rayls offering, as it supports regulated institutions in managing and securing digital assets, ensuring compliance and expanding their digital offerings.
At the Singapore FinTech Festival on November 5, 2024, Parfin will also host a side event with Zodia Custody.
