Opera for iOS releases new Modular Design in beta version.

Opera announced last week the availability of a new beta version of its browser for iOS, which now features a completely redesigned user interface inspired by the award-winning aesthetics of Opera One. The app, reimagined to provide an even more intuitive and functional experience, is available for testing and is expected to be officially released with additional features and updates at the end of September.

The latest version of the browser features a more intuitive system, wrapped in a clean, modular interface. The address bar has been moved to the bottom to improve accessibility. It will disappear completely when the user starts scrolling the page. This design allows switching between three navigation styles: Standard Navigation, Quick Action Button, and the new bottom address bar.

Furthermore, the old news feed has been replaced by a carousel on the homepage. By swiping through this carousel, it will be possible to see a timeline with highlighted news stories that opens a separate news page. This will provide more detailed coverage and a more attentive and distraction-free reading experience. The homepage also includes the latest football matches with live scores, ensuring that people don't miss any of the action from their favorite teams.

Other new features in this update include the swipe-to-search feature – which allows users to open the search menu without having to use the standard navigation or the bottom bar – and new search suggestions. In this way, the company aims to make it easier to find what you're looking for.

Opera for iOS also maintains its focus on speed and security, with a variety of built-in features such as ad and tracker blockers and a free VPN. And, like all of Opera's core products, the browser features Aria – the company's free and unlimited AI.

In this new beta version, it will also be possible to ask Aria to generate images on your mobile phone using Google's Image2 image generation model. Simply ask the AI to create what you have in mind, and the browser's artificial intelligence will turn it into reality. If the result isn't exactly what you expected, Aria can refine the image until you're satisfied.

Opera invites tech enthusiasts and everyday iOS users to participate in the beta test of the new iOS version. To participate, simply sign up here to receive the test link via TestFlight. Feedback can be submitted directly via TestFlight or through Opera's social media channels and forums.
