With over 35 years of history, theRi Happy Group, the largest toy retail chain in Brazil, embarked on a digital and cultural revolution by adopting Google Workspace. Counting on the implementation expertise of theGentrop, it was possible to optimize the daily lives of its more than four thousand employees throughout Brazil, in addition to revolutionizing its organizational culture.
Reaching 83% positive feedback during the 42 hours of training, the goal was not only to optimize and improve the communication of the Ri Happy Group but also the efficiency of various areas of the organization. And the company understood that Google Workspace would meet this purpose due to the breadth of its tools and functionalities, taking advantage of the transition period to begin the complex process of digital and cultural transformation. The result was to bring innovation and optimization to work processes, as well as to revolutionize the internal culture, making the entire Group more collaborative.
For Paulo Henrique de Toledo Farroco, CDO of Grupo Ri Happy, having a partner like Gentrop, who has experienced other similar processes, brought great confidence to everyone. "For the Ri Happy Group, this is the first time such a change has occurred, but for Gentrop, it is the nth time they have participated in a transformation project like this," explains the executive. Having a reliable and experienced partner brought security and made us feel supported. Our experience so far has been very positive.
The complexity of the process was a recurring concern for the team involved in the project, especially due to the adoption of new tools and the learning curve required to utilize its many functionalities. "Although it was quite complex, the migration process was very smooth with Gentrop's support. We were able to map out all the difficulties we would face during the project right from the start, which made it possible to mitigate errors and potential future problems," guarantees Hugo Souza, Infrastructure and Telecom Coordinator. The Gentrop team was essential, guiding and directing us to make the necessary adjustments and improvements to the Ri Happy Group's infrastructure.
Transformation far beyond processes
Cultural transformation was one of the project's priorities, aiming for a change in the organization's behavior in accordance with its values and promoting a culture that meets the needs of the market, customers, and employees themselves.
The Chief Digital Officer of Ri Happy points out that the company is undergoing a significant market repositioning, and the choice of Google Workspace was made to help accelerate this change, which is also cultural and guided the decision. "The idea of placing the Workspace within our business was to exponentially enhance the contribution and co-creation between departments. The goal is to have work done not more individually, as it was in the past, but through co-creation between departments for better productivity," says the executive.
If the goal is to have all office tools centralized, providing convenience and time savings, Google Workspace makes it easy to switch between email, documents, calendars, and chat without leaving the work environment. By reducing the time spent on this constant switching of applications and dedicating more time to essential tasks, it is possible to optimize productivity.
"Ri Happy is a company that has purposes similar to Gentrop's. We, as partners, were able to bring all our expertise in training and transformation so that in the end we could tell this story of change with Workspace," says Alline Antóquio, executive director of Gentrop.
Guiding the transformation from the beginning to the end
Google Workspace frequently brings innovations to your work environment, and for this reason, Gentrop has made Genguide available, a proprietary learning platform focused on Google Workspace applications, so that Ri Happy employees can continuously improve their skills.
With the goal of teaching the step-by-step process and the functionalities of each app, the solution promotes digital inclusion, simplifies work processes, and creates opportunities for employees to reach their full potential. "Within the transformation process, Gentrop also considers the post-migration experience. We are always concerned with the use of Workspace, as well as the employee's experience after implementation," explains Alline. This is how Genguide was born, a continuous education tool that allows each employee to have a personalized learning path based on their knowledge and level of expertise.
By optimizing the use of the new tool and making it available to all employees, it is possible to increase productivity and improve the usability of Google Workspace applications, reducing the technical support workload and making processes smoother and more efficient throughout the organization. The result is reflected in more time for the team dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction strategies.
“The reason for the existence of the Ri Happy group is to effectively satisfy its customers, both external and internal. We hope that this set of Workspace tools will bring improvements to the quality of this relationship with our customers and, obviously, an improvement in the quality of our services to them”, concludes Farroco.
