A Moki, company specialized in SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions with 17 years of experience in the B2B market, just launched the Moki Smart Scan. The platform uses artificial intelligence and augmented reality technology, that is incorporated into the Moki app, improves operational efficiency and the reading of barcodes and QR codes by up to 70%. Big names in the market like Grupo Boticário, GPA, Santa Cruz Group, Dengo Chocolate and Jadlog have already had access to the new technology.
The platform can be applied to various sectors, as food, pharmacist, logistical, retailer, among others. The Moki Smart Scan ensures speed and accuracy in the checking of goods and products, and, consequently, reduces errors, reduces the need for a dedicated team and operational costs. In a supermarket, for example, the Moki Smart Scan can assist in price verification, stock, shelf replenishment, expiration date and even in the audit of fire extinguishers. News that has an impact on the end consumer, once it eliminates the price divergence between the products on the shelf and at the checkout.
Guilherme Werneck, CEO of Moki, explain this feature of the platform: "Today, the employee uses a barcode scanner and scans each item separately, what, in sequence, has its value checked manually in a printed table. With Moki Smart Scan, just pass the phone camera over the products on the shelf, that the app compares with the price registered at the checkout in real time. Signaling in green the correct items and in red those that show discrepancies.”
The new technology has the potential to revolutionize various sectors in the coming years. Werneck explains that the processes currently done manually are becoming automated, how to count boxes in stock or track an order, for example.
For logistics companies, the platform means the end of manual counting and a drastic reduction in the number of losses and misplacement of cargo. This is because the Moki Smart Scan can read the codes of all the goods placed inside the same pallet in a matter of minutes and identify if those products are going to the correct destination, beyond, it's clear, to point out if items are missing.
These features generate savings in time and money for companies, in addition to reducing investment in equipment and employee training. "By replacing these traditional hardware devices that scan barcodes with Moki's software using Smart Scan", there is already an operational and cost optimization. Especially because maintenance is much simpler, since the Moki app can be used on any smartphone. Our platform is easy to use and does not require complex training. As people are already familiar with cell phones, it is easier to use the new technology, especially in a country with labor skill issues like Brazil, explain Werneck. "The use of artificial intelligence and augmented reality makes the interface much more intuitive", friendly, easy to interact with and with a better user experience.”
