Melhor Envio, LWSA's freight platform, located in Pelotas (RS), which democratizes access for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) to logistics services, reached 5.665 million packages sent between April and June 2024, a growth of 6.9%, compared to the same period last year, when the total number of shipments was 5.300 million.
In the first half of the year, the platform reached 10.598 million orders, 5.6% more than the same period last year, with 10.376 million packages.
In the last quarter, LWSA, the parent company of Melhor Envio, also completed the transition of all freight revenues to the platform. The SME Commerce platform segment, excluding freight revenue from the second quarter of 2023, showed a 16.3% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to Vanessa Bianculli, marketing manager at Melhor Envio, the growth is in line with the platform's market expansion strategies, which include expanding the customer base by attracting new users of the service and through partnerships.
In the last year, Melhor Enviou invested in several initiatives to expand its operation. Among them are J&T Express, a giant in the logistics sector in Asian markets, Loggi, which was expanded with the Loggi Coleta service, and Seqoia Logística. "With new partnerships and the expansion of existing ones, we have improved the logistics management of small and micro-entrepreneurs, offering shipping options at competitive prices," he/she/they highlights. O Melhor Envio also accelerated integrations with e-commerce platforms and ERP systems, allowing its offering to be made agnostic within third-party systems.
