Melhor Envio, a freight platform from LWSA, located in Pelotas (RS), which democratizes access to logistics services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), reached 5.665 million packages shipped between April and June 2024, a growth of 6.9% compared to the same period last year, when the total number of shipments was 5.300 million.
In the first half of the year, the platform processed 10.598 million orders, 5.6% more than the 10.376 million packages recorded in the same period last year.
In the last quarter, LWSA, the parent company of Melhor Envio, also completed the transition of all freight revenues to the platform. The SME Commerce platform segment, excluding freight revenue from the second quarter of 2023, showed growth of 16.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to Vanessa Bianculli, marketing manager at Melhor Envio, the growth is aligned with the platform's market expansion strategies, which include expanding its customer base by attracting new users to the service and through partnerships.
Last year, Melhor Envio invested in several initiatives to expand its operations. These include J&T Express, a giant in the logistics sector in Asian markets; Loggi, which was expanded with the Loggi Coleta service; and Seqoia Logística. "With new partnerships and the expansion of existing ones, we were able to improve the logistics management of small and micro-entrepreneurs, offering freight options at competitive prices," he emphasizes. Melhor Envio also accelerated integrations with e-commerce platforms and ERP systems, allowing its offering to operate agnostically across third-party systems.
