Magalu has just launched the selection process for Brazil's first trainee program in Artificial Intelligence, aimed at professionals in exact sciences courses. The initiative is directly related to the company's new strategic cycle, starting in 2026, and aims to develop talents with strong technical and analytical capabilities and a strategic vision in data and AI, prepared to develop innovative solutions and to apply technology to businesses. Professionals who graduated between December 2022 and December 2025, in exact sciences courses, not necessarily related to technology, may apply.
With a monthly salary of 9,600 reais and benefits, trainees will work in business areas that use artificial intelligence to improve processes and create new solutions. Registrations will be made exclusively through the program's official WhatsApp channel, with the conversation flow guided by Lu, Magalu's digital influencer, via the AI application. Once registered, the candidate will go through the subsequent stages – practical tests and interviews – on other platforms, but still with interactions via WhatsApp. The final stage will be in person. The pre-selected candidates will be interviewed by Frederico Trajano, CEO of the company, and the selected candidates must be notified by the end of December. To enroll or learn more about the process, just send a 'hi' to Lu on WhatsApp (11) 97827-4804.
"We have always been innovative and disruptive. With this process of selecting new trainees, it couldn't be any different," says Trajano. We face the challenge of implementing an AI-driven cycle, and we need to attract the best talents in the field to support us in executing this strategy.
“Mais do que atrair especialistas em inteligência artificial, queremos que cada trainee se sinta desafiado a questionar o óbvio e propor soluções inovadoras para as nossas áreas de negócio”, diz Patricia Pugas, diretora executiva de gestão de pessoas. “Technology itself is there for everyone. What will really make a difference is how these tools will transform, for the better, the day-to-day life of the company and of everyone who is affected by it.”
In the selection process, knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL, cloud tools (AWS, GCP, Azure), AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data analysis solutions will be valued. But being an expert is not a mandatory requirement, since the professionals will work in the company's business areas and the program will offer specific training tracks. Participants will have access to courses, mentoring sessions, and workshops conducted by Magalu professionals and external professionals.
Throughout the program, there will be technical and career guidance, with room for everyone to propose their own projects. The best ideas may be tested and implemented. The trainees will work with machine learning, generative AI, and Magalu's tools to develop practical solutions. They will be allocated to the company's headquarters in São Paulo, or to strategic areas, in a hybrid manner. Among the benefits offered are a health plan, meal voucher/food allowance, profit sharing, relocation assistance (for people from outside São Paulo), and a language course.
