Magalu Ads announces Mariana Meinberg as its new growth and strategy manager. She will be responsible for operationalizing the area's growth tactics, focusing on the expansion of small and medium-sized businesses operating in the Magalu marketplace. She will also be tasked with consolidating Galeria Magalu – a megastore on Avenida Paulista, scheduled to open by the end of the year – as a hub connecting brands, consumers, and the Magalu Ads ecosystem.
Mariana will report directly to Célia Goldstein, director of the vertical, and assumes leadership of the team at a time of intense revenue growth for the Ads business, which reported a 66% increase in the second quarter compared to the same period of the previous year. The executive has 25 years of experience in strategy, data, and product management, having worked at Amazon, Magnite, and InMobi. She holds a degree in Advertising and Marketing from ESPM and two specializations in the sector from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
“I’m excited about this new challenge and I believe we have many opportunities for Magalu Ads,” says Meinberg. “We have a diverse and innovative market. I’m happy to be able to contribute to expanding the use of technology and data intelligence to deliver the best product to our customers and partner sellers.”
“The hiring of Mariana represents an extremely relevant strategic step for Magalu Ads,” says Goldstein. “In the midst of our accelerated expansion cycle, we are reinforcing our commitment to investing in talent capable of leading significant and sustainable results.”
Launched five years ago, Magalu Ads has been led by Goldstein since February 2024. The initial impetus for Magalu's area came after the acquisition, in August 2020, of Inloco Media, a digital advertising technology startup. Since then, the team has grown, especially with the acquisitions of the content channels Jovem Nerd and Canaltech.
Currently, Magalu Ads also sells advertising for one of the brand's main assets, Lu, from Magalu, one of the world's largest virtual influencers. The vertical also utilizes the Magalu ecosystem to sell ads for products from sellers who sell on the company's marketplace. Today, the Magalu group's websites and apps have an audience of approximately 500 million monthly visits.
