Black Friday is coming, and with it, the risk of scams increases. Businessman Luciano Hang, owner of Havan, warns about the need to double attention when shopping online during this period of major promotions.
Hang highlights that the most common scams include the sale of products at prices well below market value and fake promotions with raffles and prizes that only require shipping payments. "The scammers know that Black Friday attracts consumers and use this to deceive. We have received hundreds of notifications about scams this year that misuse the name and image of Havan and myself," says the businessman.
Another important tip is to pay attention to the beneficiary at the time of payment. If you are going to make a payment via PIX, for example, the name of the recipient must always be "Havan". If a different name appears, it's a scam. In suspected cases, the businessman recommends that consumers report it on the websitehavan.semfraude.onlineand always look for information on the brand’s official channels.
Follow the store's official website, app and social media
To avoid fraud, the businessman advises consumers to make their purchases in the physical store, through the Havan app or on the official website:www.havan.com.br.
Hang also suggests that consumers always check the website address before completing a purchase. Fake domains can be similar, changing only one letter, such as "havam.com.br" instead of "havan.com.br”.
Hang reminds that all of the retailer's promotions can be seen on the official social networks @havanoficial, on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
“If something seems too good to be true, it’s probably a scam. Always prefer to access promotions directly through the official website or the Havan app,” concludes Hang.
