LIBIAO ROBOTICS ( https://libiaorobot.com/en ), a global company specializing in intelligent sorting robots and flexible sorting solutions, has announced its entry into the Latin American market, with Brazil as its regional base. The company has over 60,000 robots deployed in more than 20 different sectors, spread across more than 40 countries and regions.
In Brazil, the company has a dedicated team, strategic partners, and a pipeline of ongoing projects. The global engineering team is based in China, and LIBIAO already has a local technical team structure for project implementation, support, and customization, ensuring proximity to clients and agility in service.
Thiago Holanda, a consultant for the company in Latin America who works in business development and regional expansion, comments that LIBIAO chose Brazil because of the growth of sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry, due to the need for accuracy and traceability; the food and beverage industries, due to scale and the requirement for speed; and the textile and fashion industries, due to the diversity of SKUs and logistical challenges.
“Brazil combines market volume, industrial diversity, and technological maturity, making it strategic for LIBIAO. We want to consolidate our presence in the region and project double-digit growth in Brazil, driven mainly by e-commerce and high-volume logistics,” highlights Holanda.
According to the Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce (Abcomm), e-commerce is projected to register revenues of R$ 234 billion in 2025, solidifying the upward trend that will continue until 2029, when revenues are expected to reach R$ 343 billion. Logistics is the heart of e-commerce: it goes beyond inventory or fast delivery, providing real-time inventory visibility, efficient demand planning, optimized picking and packing processes, and rigorous shipping control.
"Our robotic sorters have an immediate impact in this scenario," says Holanda.
Automated solutions for warehouses
Although most widely implemented in e-commerce and marketplace operations, LIBIAO ROBOTICS systems are highly versatile and applicable across various industrial and distribution sectors, whenever there is a need for sorting, picking, and logistics optimization.
“Today, the equipment is manufactured in China, where our industrial and Research and Development base is located. However, we are constantly evaluating partnerships and local integration models in Brazil, especially in areas such as maintenance, customization, and advanced services to better serve our clients with maximum market proximity, as we are aware that this makes a difference in terms of productivity and safety in operations,” comments Holanda.
Among the models of sorting robots from LIBIAO for Latin America are:
T-Sort systems
Flexible and scalable systems for more agile e-commerce, retail, and last-mile operations. Ideal for order sorting, store replenishment, and returns processing.
- Greater flexibility: modular design, which allows for reconfiguration and expansion;
- Classification (orders) separates 20-10,000 destinations in
- Large waves with 99.9% classification accuracy;
- Fast deployment thanks to the modular design (1 to 2 weeks)
- Low footprint;
- Workforce reduction;
- Low operating costs.
AirRob Bin-To-Person Systems
An efficient automation system for product bin storage and picking, combining high-density storage, availability, and robustness with fast, efficient, and low-cost transport. By installing the AirRob on shelves, the system takes advantage of vertical height and reduces aisles, increasing the density of an operation.
- Higher density – narrow aisle with 850mm.
- Greater efficiency – each workstation can process 600 outgoing bins + 600 incoming bins per hour.
- High ROI – staff reduction of 2-3 months with investment recovery in a maximum of 2 years.
3D Sorting System: The 3D sorting system transforms the flexible sorting mode of robots from planar to three-dimensional space, using less space for greater sorting capacity. It is easy to install, relocate, and expand, and can be quickly deployed and launched into production in hours instead of months, thus maximizing capacity conversion.
- Space utility (1/3 of the space required);
- High precision (99.9% classification accuracy)
- High flexibility
