Artificial Intelligence can generate up to US$ 1 trillion to Latin American GDP, Oracle report says

Oracle developed the AI study “A NovaEra: from innovation to real results”, which provides an overview of the impact and opportunities generated by Artificial Intelligence in Latin America.The report points out that the strategic adoption of GenAI can accelerate innovation and transform the market, with the potential to add up to US$ 1 trillion to the region's GDP by 2038, according to Accenture data.

The survey reveals that 80% of Brazilian banks already use generative AI, resulting in an average increase of 11.4% in operational efficiency. By 2027, 25% of the IT budget of the largest companies in the region will be destined to AI. These advances indicate that technology is not only modifying internal processes, but also rebuilding the way companies operate in strategic sectors such as health, retail and financial services.

Another important fact is the impact of AI on the labor market, with the potential to transform up to 40% of working hours in the region, which reinforces the urgency of requalification to train professionals to new demands. This scenario requires a balance between innovation, corporate culture and development, pillars that Oracle promotes through its connection with startups, innovation hubs and large corporations.
