Artificial Intelligence at work improves performance, creativity and time management

"Greater productivity, creativity, and time management." These are the three points highlighted by the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Bindflow, Jeferson Passos, regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence at work. Examples of improved performance in the professional environment begin with the resume screening sector. AI can select around 100 applications that meet the desired profile in half the time or less, with candidates who are more suitable for the position, in the first step of this process. Another case is the use of chatbots (automated chats) for quick resolution of daily financial and administrative matters up to the creation of a programming code.

"Even with all this agility, it is always necessary to verify the information provided by Artificial Intelligence. This accuracy is linked to our ability to deliver information and context so that AI can give us the best alternatives," explains Passos. It's not simply copying and pasting, but continuing the dialogue with the system by providing new requirements, refining the format, and analyzing what actually works for the request.

Bindflow recently experienced the use of AI when an IoT (Internet of Things) product needed to calculate the distance and position of an object, using antenna triangulation, solely based on signal strength. The developers used a formula provided by ChatGPT within a programming language, which worked precisely after being tested. We could have done data interpolation, as we have the know-how, but it would take more time.

AI X Humans

Another recurring discussion about the use of this technology concerns the relationship between robots and humans and a possible compromise of the creative process, as users would feed off the same information and thus repeat their tasks with minor adjustments to differentiate. Meanwhile, the COO of Bindflow advocates two points in favor of humanizing AI. "Every prompt (the description that determines the task command) goes through human scrutiny, as well as the filter of the information provided," he/she/they explains. "It's not about copying and pasting, it's necessary to analyze the results," he concludes.

Regarding the issue of creativity, Passos believes that, contrary to what many people say, the use of Artificial Intelligence can actually increase creativity, since “it is necessary to understand that answer and give it more context, at which point I can agree or disagree. In this process of dialogue, creativity tends to flourish instead of remaining stagnant. Our experience improves our creativity”, he argues.

Data security

The main guideline is not to interpret AI tools as “free”, as even those that position themselves in this way can benefit from the data when we log in to use the system, putting at risk the confidentiality of the information we register to access the service.

"Before installing an AI system in a company, it is necessary to look at the quality of my data and who has permitted access," warns the COO of Bindflow. The company uses the resource in the following tasks: back office (administrative departments of a company or departments that have little or no contact with clients); content production, in internal marketing, in creating social media posts, as well as more repetitive activities and in the recruitment process.

Just one employee?

According to Passos, there are the so-called "AI gurus" who predict, in the not-too-distant future, that there will be unicorns (startups valued by the market at over 1 billion dollars) with only 1 employee. "Maybe this model exists only in some industries, as there are many ventures that allow exclusively AI. But the business relationship process is humanized, it requires the relationship, based on recommendation, trust, even from solid companies, which contribute their trust, the use of their products, based on people's history," he concludes.
