This scenario is driven by recent 2025 industry data, which indicates a leap in quality in the available tools: the adoption of analytics Artificial Intelligence-based demand forecasting tools has already reached accuracy levels of up to 95%. Simultaneously, the implementation of autonomous systems has demonstrated the ability to reduce transportation and labor costs by double-digit percentages.
For Rodolfo Cassorillo, an expert in IT applied to logistics, the timing is no coincidence. According to him, this period aligns with the corporate planning and budget review cycle, a time when resources are specifically unlocked for innovation projects.
“At this moment, digitalization and modernization initiatives gain more traction, as internal teams and suppliers are more available to implement and integrate new technologies,” highlights Cassorillo.
Challenges and Strategic Gains
Despite the optimism, the transition to Logistics 4.0 is not without barriers. The news that the technology is mature contrasts with companies' structural challenges, such as the shortage of qualified labor to handle new tools and the need for robust data governance.
However, the expert reinforces that the synchronization between business strategy and technology is vital. The goal goes beyond simply implementing digital tools; it seeks total supply chain integration, loss reduction, inventory optimization, and consequently, a better experience for the end customer.
“In the current competitive context, these gains translate into lasting advantages, and the earlier they are implemented, the greater the return on investment,” concludes Cassorillo.
