Ifood, a Brazilian technology company, opens this Wednesday (1st) the third support point for delivery people and delivery companies in Porto Alegre. Located at Av. Saturnino de Brito, 534 – Loja 2 – Jardim Itu, the space is now available for use, offering more comfort and support during the work routine of professionals.
iFood has been continuously expanding the support points network to strengthen support for delivery people across the country. The goal is to reach, by the end of the year, 30 own units in capitals and metropolitan regions, in addition to maintaining expansion through partnerships with restaurants and markets. These spaces offer drinking water, bathrooms, rest areas and cell phone recharge points; in some cities, they also have a refrigerator and microwave. It is important to highlight that the structures are open to all delivery guys, including other platforms.
“This is a space built from the listening of delivery men, who pointed out to us the need for safe and comfortable places to support the day to day. Ifood is committed to transforming these demands into concrete solutions, and the support points are an example of this. By opening the third unit in Porto Alegre, we reinforce our purpose of valuing these professionals, who are fundamental for the functioning of the delivery ecosystem”, says Giselle Dantas, manager of Institutional Dialogue at IFood.
The locations are defined based on a route analysis and order density, ensuring that the support points are positioned in strategic areas. Deliverers can locate the nearest space directly in the iFood app or on the website.
