iFood, the Brazilian technology company, and Mottu, the country's largest motorcycle rental platform, announce a partnership to expand benefits for delivery drivers in Brazil. The initiative reduces barriers and enables more people to access a motorcycle for delivery work, including those with financial pending issues. The collaboration offers exclusive advantages for those who deliver through iFood and already rent their vehicle with Mottu or wish to start a rental, focusing on increasing earnings, reducing costs, and providing more support in daily operations.
Starting in September, delivery drivers across the country will have additional earnings, easier access to economical vehicles with IPVA included, as well as support in case of theft and increased convenience. Among the main advantages are:
- Increase in earnings- Professionals who rent motorcycles through Mottu and work with iFood can increase their income with exclusive benefits. For each completed challenge, which involves completing a specific number of runs within certain periods, the delivery person can earn up to R$350 extra per month. Additionally, those who maintain a high occupancy rate guarantee up to 10% return in Mottu Cash, a credit converted from the amount paid for rent and that can be used in case of expenses. In practice, this means more revenue per delivery and greater potential for daily billing.
- DiscountsNew delivery drivers at both companies will have easy access to economical motorcycles, with up to 20% discount on the deposit and special conditions to start or renew the rental contract.
- Convenience- Some Mottu workshops are in testing phase to serve as support points for delivery drivers. They already offer maintenance services for the brand's motorcycles and a rest area.
- Economy- Mottu's plans ensure cost predictability and can generate significant savings on fuel (60 km/l, almost double the average of conventional motorcycles). The model, with daily rates starting at R$19, already proves to be competitive compared to other daily costs, offering more predictability to the delivery person and ensuring that the activity's net earnings are increased.
To access the benefits, you must be over 18 years old, registered on both apps, and hold a valid National Driver's License (CNH) in category A. The process can be done entirely online. Additionally, the companies are studying to implement a simplified registration process for those who want to participate in both companies.
"Our priority is to support those who are on the streets every day. Therefore, this partnership aims to offer practical solutions that help delivery people gain more autonomy and better performance in an easier way," says Johnny Borges, iFood's Director of Social Impact.
Rubens Zanelatto, CEO of Mottu, adds: "At Mottu, anyone who wants to get a motorcycle finds an accessible and hassle-free path. With the partnership with iFood, in addition to easier access to the most economical motorcycles on the market, delivery drivers benefit from special conditions and extra earnings, making this the best option for those who want to work in delivery."
The program is exclusive to active iFood delivery drivers and Mottu renters, which reinforces the platforms' position as the best options for those looking to work in delivery in Brazil. Today, iFood has around 450,000 active delivery drivers in more than 1,500 cities and continues to expand its investments in solutions that offer unique advantages for those who work with the company.
The partnership strengthens iFood's logistical reach and consolidates Mottu as a strategic partner in offering more economical vehicles and technical support to delivery drivers. The vehicles available at Mottu stores offer IPVA exemption, licensing, support in case of theft, third-party damage coverage, and 24-hour assistance.
The partnership with Mottu further strengthens iFood's benefits package, which has been consistently expanded to support platform delivery drivers in various areas. The initiative joins iFood Super – a program that recognizes the most engaged professionals with financial benefits. These actions reinforce iFood's commitment to the continuous appreciation of delivery drivers, promoting mobility, economy, technical support, and more opportunities for those on the streets every day.
Partnerships
iFood has been advancing its partnership agenda with companies that share the same culture of innovation and technology, offering solutions for different parts of the ecosystem, with a focus on generating value for delivery drivers, merchants, and consumers.
Already in the pilot phase, the initiative is expected to involve more than 5,000 motorcyclists, with close monitoring of the gains and the savings generated. Currently, Mottu has more than 130,000 rented motorcycles eligible to participate in the partnership with iFood, in addition to a network of 146 physical locations distributed across more than 120 Brazilian cities.
"Our goal is to establish partnerships that increasingly strengthen our value proposition, with consistent solutions for partner establishments, consumers, and delivery personnel. We understand that the benefit is never only for the directly affected public; it reflects throughout the entire ecosystem. And that is iFood's vision when bringing companies that are transforming their areas of operation closer, such as Mottu," says iFood's Senior Innovation Director, Thiago Viana.
