After the adjustment of the volumes practiced in the post-pandemic, the expected growth is 25% for the number of orders -compared to the same period in 2023- which has been growing about 20% annually
The main and challenging measure of the strategy for Black Friday, traced in June together with its clients from the segment, it is the hiring of temporary workers for an area that is already suffering from a labor shortage – recently the operator announced a notice with more than 2 thousand vacancies
According to Rogério Elias, Regional Operations Manager of ID Logistics, during peak times like Black Friday and Christmas, the number of collaborators in the operation increases by 10% to 20%. According to him, a multiplier collaborator is responsible for training new hires. The positions are for logistics assistants with a chance of hiring
Another important measure is the provision of equipment, as a radio frequency collector, forklifts, uniforms and PPEs, among others, if necessary
The manager explains that two scenarios are outlined for the date. The first follows the planning already made and, if there is an increase in the expected number of volumes, the strategy that encompasses the synergy between different distribution centers is used, or even to the same warehouse for the quick movement of employees and equipment
In retail, another area of operation of ID Logistics, the work focused in October on supplying the stores, mainly, with electronic items, white line,televisions, among others. In this case, the increase in reported volumes was about 10% . The same happens in the case of food and beverage industries, that according to Anderson Almeida, also Regional Operations Manager of ID Logistics, expanded the portfolio of products worked on by the platforms
Working with two scenarios, the planned strategy and what may happen if the volumes rise above expectations, ID Logistics implements the migration of employees and equipment between different distribution centers, or even in the warehouse itself for activities with higher demand
