The Elsys Group, renowned Brazilian technology company with 35 years of operation, announced today a strategic investment in dtLabs, startup specialized in the development of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. This milestone represents the first investment of the Elsys Group in a software company, acquiring a significant stake in dtLabs
Although the investment amount has not been disclosed, the partnership stands out for two crucial characteristics: dtLabs will maintain its operational independence, counting on the support of the Elsys Group, and there are plans to further strengthen collaboration in the medium term, with the Elsys Group signaling interest in increasing its investment in the coming years
The transaction, advised by Ace Advisors, a strong presence of Elsys in the national market with the expertise of dtLabs in software development for AI. Otávio Pimentel, Partner of Ace Advisors, highlights: "This investment demonstrates the potential of the Brazilian innovation ecosystem, creating a technological powerhouse capable of competing globally in the AI market.”
A dtLabs, founded by Ricardo Achilles and Brenno Caldato during their research at São Paulo State University (UNESP), will focus on the development of new solutions in computer vision, video-analytical processing and edge computing. Currently, 90% of dtLabs' clients are international, factor that influenced Elsys' decision.
