Getty Images, a renowned creator and global marketplace for visual content, announced the introduction of a new model for its services and artificial intelligence (AI) generators. With this update, content generation reaches speeds of about 6 seconds for 4 images, doubling the performance of the previous model.
Driven by NVIDIA's cutting-edge technology, the new model offers significant improvements in image quality and generation speed. Text instructions, or 'prompts', are now more precise and can be longer, allowing for even greater customization according to each brand's identity and style. The quality of the enlarged images for 4K resolution has also been improved.

The update also brings features to modify images with AI, allowing adjustments to images generated by the tool and existing commercial photographs. Users can add, modify, or remove elements in the image, expand dimensions, or remove backgrounds with a single click. These features are already available on iStock and will soon be available on Getty Images.

Additionally, Getty Images has launched an option that allows corporate clients to customize AI models by incorporating distinctive elements of their brands into Getty Images' generative AI model. This ensures the production of images free of trademarks, logos, and other elements protected by third-party intellectual property rights.
The new model was trained exclusively with Getty Images' vast library of 'creative' images, ensuring that the content is specifically designed for commercial projects. Getty Images and iStock's AI generator complements the company's other offerings, including a vast library of images and videos, as well as custom content, enhancing the entire creative process for clients.
The model update uses the NVIDIA Edify model architecture, which is part of NVIDIA Picasso, an AI foundation for building and deploying generative AI models for visual content.
