According to a survey by Ticket, Edenred Brazil brand of meal vouchers and food vouchers, the average spending of consumers on food delivery orders is 12% higher compared to the amount spent on dining in restaurants. Between January and May of this year, the average bill per meal for home orders was R$66,21, in the establishments the average spending was R$ 58,86.
The study of the benefits and engagement brand also found a difference between the types of cuisine most consumed in the two modalities. While in online orders the preference is forfast food, followed by Brazilian food and fast food, in direct consumption at establishments, Brazilian food is the most consumed, with bakery and snack bar coming right behind in people's preferences list.
Regarding the highest spending per order: seafood (R$ 87,stand out in delivery. In physical restaurants, the most expensive average was found in Japanese food meals (R$ 104,68). Already among the lowest averages, the food from Minas Gerais leads in delivery (R$ 49,54), while in person this booth is for bakery cuisine (R$ 29,89)
