Diálogo, a BBM Group transport company specializing in deliveries for e-commerce and marketplaces, announces the expansion of its services beyond the last mile, now also operating with Midpack, Inject, and Inhub delivery methods. This initiative reinforces the company's commitment to offering flexible and integrated solutions for digital retail.
Each modality operates at a specific stage of the logistics chain and they were implemented to ensure greater control, reduction of unnecessary steps, and agility in the transportation and processing of goods.
According to Diálogo, customers will benefit from reduced operational and transportation costs, thanks to route optimization and cargo consolidation.
Another advantage is the potential integration of these methods with technologies such as control towers, applications, and tracking systems to ensure real-time tracking and transparency of product movement at all stages of logistics, thus increasing the reliability of operations.
“With centralized information and real-time tracking, digital retailers can also improve inventory control and have greater accuracy in order management,” says Jorcei Chiochetta, director of less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation and e-commerce.
The new methods will also allow digital retailers to optimize delivery predictability, increasing customer satisfaction and reducing shopping cart abandonment over long periods, as well as making operations more flexible across multiple sales channels, with the possibility of in-store pickup or home delivery.
What are the new modalities and what are their distinguishing features?
The Midpack model is geared towards products weighing between 2kg and 10kg and covers all stages of transportation, i.e., the management of orders between distribution centers and urban hubs. Its distinguishing feature is optimizing the intermediate flow before final delivery, ensuring efficiency and control along the route between major centers.
Inject allows for the consolidation and injection of volumes directly into Diálogo's distribution centers, streamlining processing and reducing steps in the logistics cycle. This way, the customer takes the products directly to the destination terminal, and the company handles the final delivery to the consumer.
Finally, the Inhub model is a cross-docking and transshipment operation in urban hubs, allowing for the rapid transfer of goods between modes of transport and reducing delivery times. In practice, the customer leaves the cargo at the nearest BBM terminal, and Diálogo handles the transfer and delivery flows to the consumer.
“We want to strengthen our position as a strategic partner for e-commerce, offering solutions that boost logistical efficiency with faster, more predictable deliveries and greater control. All this to promote an excellent experience for the end consumer and the sustainable growth of our clients' digital businesses,” highlights Chiochetta.
Diálogo already works with other operations such as: Standard (collection, transfer and delivery for packages from 1kg to 2kg); Same Day (same-day delivery); Ship From Store (collection at customer stores and direct delivery to the end consumer); Express (deliveries within 48 hours in capital cities); Omnichannel (collection at the customer's central Distribution Center and delivery to the consumer); Marketplace (collection from vendors and delivery to the end customer); and Middle Mile (transfer of goods between customer DCs).
