This Saturday (19) marks the celebration of IT Professional Day in Brazil and around the world. They are the ones who have always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies within companies, and with AI it is no different.
According to aFreshworks study, leading company in the development of enterprise software, 89% of IT professionals worldwide use AI at least once a month at work, what makes IT the department that uses AI the most in the corporate environment. For degree of comparison, Marketing is the second department that uses technology the most (86%)
Check out some other stats from Freshworks’ research:
- Writing has become easier. Data analysis (59%) and content creation (56%) are the two main tasks performed by IT professionals with the help of AI.
- Differential skill45% of workers worldwide say that almost all new positions seek some level of experience in AI — in the IT departments the relationship is the highest (57%)
- The more AI, more productivity. The IT departments estimate that, on average, they could save 4 hours and 55 minutes – one hour more than any other department – in a typical work week using AI. This amounts to 31 days of work, on an 8-hour journey
- Human versus robot.For 2 out of 3 IT professionals (65%), AI will never be able to completely replace human workers, but they understand that the adoption of AI will mean that certain people will experience immense job growth while others will be left behind
- Someone let me know47% of IT professionals claim that other workers in their organizations use AI in their daily work, but they still don't realize that they are being used
