One of the great opportunities for companies that do delivery is to take advantage of the sales peak during holidays. Between December 1 and December 31, 2024, more than R$20 million were transacted on platforms using Machine, Gaudium's solution for app creation in the sector — a 50% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Of these R$ 20 million, R$ 7.8 million were only in the Southeast region. Next, comes the Central-West region, with R$ 6 million in orders placed; the South region, with R$ 3 million; and the Northeast and North regions, with R$ 2.1 million and R$ 1.8 million, respectively.
The state of São Paulo took the lead in the ranking, with more than 480,000 orders completed by the New Year, leading to a total sales value of R$6.3 million.
While the segment handles around 210 million orders per month, according to the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abrasel), during seasonal dates there is an increase in demand for themed meals, combo deals for gatherings, and beverages. This behavior reveals a strategic opportunity for companies to invest in promotional actions and further boost sales during the period.
“In addition to monitoring consumer trends on special dates, it is important to invest in technology and prepare the business for seasonal dates. One of the best resources for predicting demand and optimizing operations is predictive analysis based on data generated by the business itself,” suggests Vinícius Valle, Marketing Coordinator at Gaudium.
Platforms like Machine simplify last-mile logistics operations for small and medium-sized businesses. Gaudium is one of the most influential companies in the mobility sector in Brazil, as it records over 100 million rides and deliveries made annually by its customers, generating an annual revenue of R$ 1.6 billion.
