Amid the growing digital market, a new initiative promises to transform the lives of thousands of young Brazilians. The Digital Creator, a 100% online and free course, is offered by the NGO JA Rio de Janeiro in partnership with M2BR Academy and Canva Brazil. With a practical and inspiring approach, the course offers 40,000 spots for young people aged 15 to 29, especially those in vulnerable social situations, who wish to become digital influencers and content creators.
O Cria Digital covers everything from the fundamentals of digital marketing to content production for social media, including topics such as Influencer Marketing, creative process, scripting, filming, and editing videos with a cell phone. The course also includes an exclusive module taught by Canva Brazil, which will teach you how to create attractive images and assemble a successful media kit. Additionally, a library in Canva with pre-made templates will be made available.
The initiative arises as a response to the challenging scenario of the youth labor market in Brazil. According to IBGE, by the end of 2022, 10.9 million young people aged 15 to 29 were neither working nor studying. This course aims to provide an opportunity for inclusion in the digital market and entrepreneurship, promoting diversity of people, ideas, and experiences.
“Cria Digital is the result of our desire to transform lives through education. We want young people to develop skills that go beyond technical skills, so that they can explore their unlimited potential and generate income,” highlights Rafael Coelho, Marketing Coordinator at JA Rio de Janeiro.
Ricardo Marsili, founding partner of M2BR Academy, adds: “Democratizing access to Influencer Marketing through a free course is a way to contribute to the inclusion of these young people in the job market and in the world of entrepreneurship.”
Special Participation by Jonathan Azevedo
Actor Jonathan Azevedo, known for his role in the series "The Game That Changed History" on Globoplay, participates in the first module of the course, where he shares his journey and offers tips on how to influence others with purpose. "I am honored by this invitation. I want more young people to have the same opportunities I had. Social media is a way to change lives and occupy new spaces," says Azevedo.
Another highlight is the finance specialist Gilvan Bueno, elected by Forbes Magazine in 2020 as one of the Black Innovators in Financial Education in Brazil. He concludes the course with an adapted version of the program "My Money, My Business".
The course has ten teachers, including pedagogue Michele França, M2BR Academy executive director Ricardo Marsili, and digital influencers such as Gabi Almeida and Cesar Antonio. The total workload is 5 hours and 15 minutes, and participants who complete the course by November 22, 2024, will be entered into a draw for 15 Canva PRO coupons, valid for six months.
