With cargo theft on the rise, technology services startup expects to close 2024 with revenue of R$ 84 million

According to data from Overhaul, cargo theft continues to be one of the main problems in the transportation sector in Brazil. In this sense, from January to March 2024, 3 were recorded.639 occurrences in the Country. That is to say, on average, they were 1.213 per month. Of these, in 94% there are reports of violence

The increase in this type of crime in Brazil has led brands that offer technological solutions against cargo theft to report growth, as is the case with T4S Technology. A startup from São Paulo, that started its operations in 2017, emerged after the company's founders, entrepreneurs Enrico Rebuzzi and Luiz Henrique Nascimento, they will feel firsthand what it was like to suffer from the losses of cargo theft

Before founding T4S, they had a logistics company in 2003, a Direct Express/Directlog, largest logistics operator of e-commerce in Brazil, and they went through that situation all the time

Acting in this area of transportation, they found out how difficult it is to face the damages resulting from cargo theft, so they decided that the next project would be something related to the transportation security sector

With the experience gained during the time they both worked in logistics, they developed a system called Independent Blocker

"Since time is the key to success for the gangs", once they need to leave the crime scene in a few minutes and in possession of the vehicle, The T4S Blocker hinders this speed by creating a series of difficulties for anyone trying to deactivate it.” – explainLuiz Henry Birth, director ofT4S Technology.

The risk for the criminal thus increases and, together with him, the trend of abandoning the vehicle and driver with the cargo intact. The blocker immobilizes the vehicle at the moment when the thief tries to carry out the theft with a jammer, popularly known as "chupacabra"

T4S also offers unusual services to prevent cargo theft on the roads, as is the case with the Anti-Invasion Electric Shock, that in the case of attempted theft of the cargo with rupture or perforation of the container, the criminal receives a high-impact shock of 20 thousand volts, but not lethal

Through sensors spread across the panels that cover all sides of the truck's cargo box, any attempt at drilling or cutting triggers an alert to a service center, in addition to a siren and an electric shock.

It poses no risk to drivers. It's like an electric fence in a condominium or house: the risk of shock is zero if you don't try to invade the space. The immobilizer technology has already been patented in other countries, like the United States, Mexico and Russia.

The company's revenue last year was R$59 million, and the expectation is to end 2024 with revenue of R$84 million

In addition to the Anti-Invasion Electric Shock, the company still offers other solutions, as is the case with Anjos da Carga, a solution that features 360-degree artificial intelligence cameras mounted on top of the truck that can detect weapons, people through facial recognition and suspicious movements.Currently, the company has several clients on its list, including FedEx, DHL, Amazon, JSL and P&G
