The legal sports betting market in Brazil saw its highest number of accesses ever recorded August .
Websites using the domain “ .bet.br ” totaled 2.21 billion visits , surpassing the previous record of 2.18 billion , which had been registered in May of this year.

The number of visits registered by legalized betting sites in the country was almost three times higher than in August 2024: the same set of betting sites monitored by Aposta Legal had 761 million visits a year ago, jumping approximately 190% .
The significant increase in access reflects not only the popularization of betting sites, but also the possibility for brands to advertise freely on the internet, investing in advertising and redirecting traffic to their homepages, following regulation in January 2025.
What explains the growth of betting?
August's performance may have been boosted by the resumption of the sporting calendar, with crucial matches in Brazilian and international football, as well as the growing popularity of online casino games such as Tigrinho , Aviator , and Spaceman .
According to official data from the Ministry of Finance , fixed-odds betting companies earned R$ 17.4 billion in the first half of the year , after deducting prizes paid to players.
With record results in August, it is estimated that, in July and August alone, the sector generated the equivalent of 38% of the total revenue for the first half of the year , signaling a trend of accelerating earnings.
