A Black Friday está chegando e seus efeitos já são sentidos no mercado de trabalho com meses de antecedência. De acordo com um levantamento inédito da Sólides, HR Tech que atende mais de 40 mil pequenas e médias empresas em todo o Brasil, as contratações ligadas ao período promocional começam semanas antes do evento e têm impacto direto na geração de empregos temporários e fixos.
Between 2022 and 2024, the average number of temporary job openings created in September and October was 81% higher than in other months of the year. This data highlights how the retail phenomenon heats up the labor market well before the promotions reach consumers. The trend is one of continuous growth: from 2023 to 2024, temporary opportunities increased by 53.3%.
This trend is also reflected in permanent hiring. In the two months preceding Black Friday, the average number of permanent positions grew by 17.5% on average over the last two years, with a significant increase of 58.6% between 2023 and 2024. This result shows that companies not only reinforce their teams for the peak demand but also use the period to expand their workforce in a lasting manner.
“Black Friday has established itself as an important trigger for the labor market, especially among SMEs. What was once just a consumer date is now an indicator of real economic activity and a strategic moment for generating opportunities. For this year, the trend is for the supply of temporary positions to remain at last year's level,” states Ricardo Kremer, Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) of Sólides. “Many companies use this period to identify and retain talent who, after the seasonal increase, end up staying on their teams.”
The Sólides survey also highlights the profile of job offers. In 2024, the states with the highest volume of job openings were São Paulo (26%), Minas Gerais (17%), and Santa Catarina (6%). The areas that hired the most were commercial (22%), administrative (15%), and technology (7%), with emphasis on roles such as salesperson, commercial representative, administrative assistant, and back-end and full-stack developer.
