Starting this Tuesday, 27, the Brazilian Association of Crypto-economy (ABcripto) becomes part of the Advisory Committee on Education of the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). The Committee aims to promote and support educational projects that contribute to the improvement of financial education standards for the Brazilian population.
Bernardo Srur, President-Director of ABCripto, highlights that the association's entry into the CVM committee is a milestone for the advancement of the sector, to promote financial education actions in the country. "Being part of the CVM Education Advisory Committee reaffirms the association's representativeness for the crypto economy in Brazil", and it is another step towards having an increasingly modern sector, robust and organized, especially because we will be in relevant discussions alongside major entities that represent essential sectors of our economy, highlights.
ABcripto joins the permanent members of the Committee, composed of sector entities such as: ABRASCA (Brazilian Association of Publicly Held Companies), ANBIMA (Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Entities), ABVCAP (Brazilian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital), NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROKERS AND DISTRIBUTORS OF SECURITIES AND FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS, Exchange and Goods, APIMEC Brazil (Association of Analysts and Investment Professionals in the Capital Markets), B3 (Brazil, Bag, Counter, IBGC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance), IBRI (Brazilian Institute of Investor Relations) and PLANEJAR (Brazilian Association of Financial Planners).

Partnership history
In 2023, ABCripto and the CVM signed a technical cooperation agreement focused on the development of financial education, campaigns and educational materials for the population about new financial technologies, especially decentralized finance (DeFi), as well as topics related to crypto-economics, blockchain and digital assets. As part of this agreement, a glossary of terms related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets was launched to broaden access to knowledge about the digital economy, to help people understand technical terms, favoring dialogue among the different actors of this new ecosystem.
