Having a credit card that accumulates points is a reality for just over half of Brazilians in social classes A and B. A survey commissioned by C6 Bank from Ipsos-Ipec to understand consumer behavior showed that 54% of respondents have a credit/debit card that accumulates points or miles. However, not all of them make use of this benefit. Among the respondents in this group, one in four does not spend their points – either because they expire or are never enough to exchange for any benefit, or because they do not know how to use the benefit or do not remember that it exists.
Among Brazilians who use points, 50% exchange them for products, services, and airline tickets, while 32% opt for cashback (money in their account). On the other hand, 17% transfer their points to other loyalty programs, and 8% usually sell them.
The survey also sought to understand travel plans for the coming months or the next year. The majority (44%) responded that they intend to travel only within Brazil, while only 7% plan to travel only abroad. The percentage of those planning to travel both within and outside Brazil is 27%. The remainder do not plan to travel (11%) or are still undecided (12%).
The C6 Bank/Ipsos-Ipec survey interviewed 1,000 Brazilians aged 16 and over from socioeconomic classes A and B across all regions of Brazil online between July 16 and 23, 2025. The margin of error is three percentage points.
