Black Friday 2024 returned to the movement of Brazilian commerce, especially e-commerce. Throughout November, promotions increased sales and access in e-commerce, especially in the last week of the month.DATAFRETE, a technology company specializing in logistics management solutions, monitored the results in its TMS and proved the increase in volume in this year's edition.
According to the company, freight quotes made to its more than 650 customers grew 113% compared to the same period in 2023. During November, the platform transacted more than R$ 1 billion in goods, with an increase of 67.92% in the average ticket of products.
The highlight, according to CEO Marcelo Martins, was the behavior of the platform during the period. “We had 100% uptime in TMS, that is: total availability throughout the month so that our customers could quickly provide freight quotes and organize the logistics management of” orders, he reports.
Logistics, incidentally, is a point of attention on seasonal dates like Black Friday. Surveys of digital services companies such as LWSA point out that 6 in 10 consumers give up on the purchase because of shipping. In 2023, the delay in delivery also led the list of complaints, with 38% of records in Procon/SP.
“We have had more than 32 million quotes made, which shows the impact of this process on the operating results of companies on dates like this. Technology is essential to ensure not only agility, but automated price comparisons and choice of the best logistics partners, avoiding headache in the after-sales”, reinforces Martins.
DATAFRETE also recorded an increase of 59% in orders on Black Friday this year.Market research, such as Cielo, shows that sales of the date exceeded the pre-pandemic levels, with retail registering 15% more sales than in 2019.
