Webmotors has just taken another step in its strategy of innovation and digital transformation by announcing a new search engine with generative artificial intelligence (AI) capable of understanding commands in natural language and delivering results in a fast, accurate and contextualized way. The new tool is being implemented gradually on the platform and is already available to 15% of users. The expectation is that it will be expanded to the entire customer base by the beginning of the second half of 2025.
In addition to offering results for searches quickly and accurately, the new tool also offers recommendations to users who are still unsure about the most suitable vehicle model for their needs. In these cases, it is enough for the user to indicate their need, with commands of the type “I want an SUV with sunroof and up to 40 thousand kilometers driven”, or “economy with good space for the” family, without the need to fill in the traditional filters. The system understands this user interaction, interprets its need and offers its recommendations immediately.
For Daniel Polistchuck, Chief Technology Officer of Webmotorsthe future of automotive search is about conversation and contextual intelligence. “We are talking about an intelligent search engine that really serves the user, even if he himself does not yet know the model for which he is looking. This completely changes the experience within our platform and reinforces Webmotors' position as a reference in innovation in the” sector, explains the executive.
In addition to increasing the agility of the search journey, the novelty enhances commercial performance, since it connects potential buyers with greater assertiveness to ads that really meet your criteria.
AI IN THE AUTOMOTIVE JOURNEY OF WEBMOTORS
As part of its strategy to offer a complete ecosystem for the purchase, sale and use of automobiles and maintain its leadership in the Brazilian market, Webmotors has been investing in innovations that expand the competitiveness of its business.
In one of its latest initiatives, the company announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon's cloud computing platform, to develop an AI-based solution that provides instant and personalized responses to customers who contact WhatsApp with dealerships and stores to obtain information about vehicles. The technology, already integrated with about 1.8 thousand points of sale in Brazil, has multiplied by eight the engagement in negotiations.
Another important advance occurred in 2023 with the launch of Webmotors Services, which uses AI to facilitate and streamline the maintenance process of vehicles. The user can, for example, request budgets for repairs in light or medium damages using only a photo taken at the scene of the occurrence. The system recognizes the type of failure in up to seven seconds and immediately provides an estimate of costs and indicates the nearest workshop.
