Temporary Work Shoots in 2025: E-commerce and Logistics Lead Growth

The temporary employment market in Brazil registered a significant growth of 4.5% in 2025, surpassing the mark of 2.5 million contracts. This advance was significantly driven by the expansion of e-commerce, especially in the areas of logistics and distribution, reflecting the changes in consumption habits and the digitization of the economy.

E-commerce and Logistics in Command

The Brazilian Association of Temporary Work (ASSERTTEM) has disclosed that the e-commerce sector, focusing on logistics and distribution, was largely responsible for the heating of the temporary market. Digitization and change in consumer behavior continue to drive demand for these services, requiring flexible labor to meet fluctuations.

Other Sectors in High

In addition to e-commerce, large retail chains maintained a consistent pace of temporary hiring. Agribusiness and the tourism sector also showed a relevant performance, contributing to the overall positive result of the year. ASSERTTEM points out that temporary work is consolidated as a strategic tool for labor management, allowing companies greater flexibility in the face of economic fluctuations and seasonality.

Opportunities for Effectiveness

The last quarter of 2025, from October to December, registered 522 thousand temporary contracts, an increase of 5.1% compared to the same period of 2024. The president of ASSERTTEM, Alexandre Leite Lopes, highlighted that, despite the low level of unemployment hinders the hiring of operational labor, specialized agencies help companies find the appropriate professionals. He emphasized that individual performance, commitment and willingness to learn are decisive factors for the effectiveness of temporary workers at the end of their contracts.
