TOTVS (B3: TOTS3), Brazil's largest technology company, has signed a contract to acquire Linx for the amount of R$ 3.05 billion. With this move, TOTVS will take another step towards building the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the retail segment. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and other usual precedent conditions for this type of operation.
"With this acquisition, we will strengthen our position in retail by expanding our portfolio and enhancing our ability to meet the demands of all retailer profiles. This is a major and significant advancement in our technology offering for this sector and, given our high level of investment in R&D, will allow us to drive the development of relevant innovations for Linx customers, including in AI," emphasizes Dennis Herszkowicz, President of TOTVS.
The acquisition of Linx will generate important complementarity, making TOTVS's presence in retail comparable to the current relevance it has already achieved in other economic sectors. Additionally, TOTVS's strong commercial and service geographic presence will be a significant catalyst for the expansion of Linx's solutions, while the transaction will offer substantial opportunities for synergies and efficiency gains.
"Our commitment is to transform retail through technology, offering innovative solutions that connect channels, personalize the customer experience, and automate processes through intensive data usage. This allows us to drive the growth of the sector and help companies stand out in an increasingly dynamic market," adds Herszkowicz.
