Betting sites are blocked after court decision; see which ones

After a decision of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) began blocking some betting sites.

The determination meets an instrument aggravation by the Loteria do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Loterj), which had requested the blocking or suspension of the “ sites that illegally exploit fixed quota bets”.

In all, Loterj listed 115 companies that operate today in the state of Rio de Janeiro and do not have the state license to explore betting.

According to the decision, Anatel should verify the operational legitimacy of the companies listed by Loterj and, if not, take appropriate measures, within the limits of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
