iFood, a Brazilian technology company, launches this Tuesday (2nd) the iFood Retrospective 2025 for its 60 million users, revealing the dishes, restaurants, and other items they consumed most throughout the year. With the theme “The best of iFood is the Brazilian. And being Brazilian”, the personalized selection reveals the unique way Brazilians use delivery services, featuring curiosities presented in 15 stories, with the option to share on social media. The retrospective will be available until December 31st.
With 60 million users and 160 million monthly orders, iFood celebrates the Brazilian way of ordering iFood and seeks to create connection and engagement with its audience, personalizing each user's experience based on their order history – whether from restaurants, markets, pharmacies, or pet shops. Through the app, each person can access information such as the time spent on iFood, total orders, the first order of the year, their most-ordered dish, as well as display the types of meals and restaurants most chosen for special moments of enjoying good food in 2025. The selection will also show the most consumed category after Restaurants – whether Market, Pharmacy, Pet, or Shopping.
“The iFood Retrospective is a highly anticipated moment for our consumers and represents a true celebration of the relationship between our brand and the millions of Brazilians who choose iFood as their preferred delivery service at all times – whether for ordering that special Saturday night meal, shopping at the supermarket, or ordering an item from the pharmacy. As a Brazilian company, we are proud of our role in creating a positive impact in the country. In 2025, we chose ”Brazilianness' as the central theme of our Retrospective, celebrating a truth that defines us: from Brazil, iFood understands – and we know better than anyone the Brazilian way of ordering delivery," says Ana Gabriela Lopes, Vice President of Marketing and Communication at iFood.
New features in this year's edition
The 2025 iFood Retrospective version comes with new features. In addition to a complete focus on individual history, iFood introduces unique features that display the different ways of ordering delivery based on the day of the week and the user's favorite time slot – whether breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, or late night. Each customer will have access to an exclusive screen simulating ‘dish towels’, with prints featuring fun justifications for treating themselves to an iFood order at that moment.
The artwork is led by charismatic icons, such as the capybara and the caramel mixed-breed dog, accompanied by phrases that generate immediate identification, like ‘My hobby is pretending I'm going to cook’ stories ‘Adult dinner: light, fast, and drama-free’.
iFood Club, the platform's exclusive benefits program, is also included in the retrospective: each subscriber can find out how much they saved during the year and also understand their position in the ranking of those who gained the most discounts through the subscription club.
The most ordered items of 2025
iFood also analyzed the categories of items Brazilians most put on their plates (or in their bags) this year, and the preference for convenience is undeniable: the Snacks category led the ranking by a wide margin, accumulating 253 million orders – a volume that alone surpasses the sum of the second and third places. However, tradition remains strong: Brazilian cuisine secured second place with nearly 118 million choices, followed by the national passion for Pizza (92 million). The year also solidified the traditional Lunchboxes (52 million) and Japanese food (50 million).
The time slot analysis confirms that dinner is the ‘prime time’ for delivery in Brazil. With a massive volume of 487.7 million orders, evening meals nearly double the performance of lunch, which recorded 278 million deliveries – a fact that reinforces the app as both a solution for the end of the day and for optimizing time during work hours. The afternoon interval also proved to be a key consumption moment, with theAfternoon Snack totaling 71.7 million orders. Interestingly, the extremes of the day show an interesting balance: Breakfast (23.5 million) slightly surpasses Late Night (22.3 million), proving that convenience is demanded from the first coffee to the last snack of the night.
