Black Friday Thursday: cell phones and clothes are the best-selling items on Mercado Libre

On Black Friday, Mercado Livre, the leading e-commerce platform in Latin America, releases list of the best-selling products in the run-up to the date (27) and which promise to remain in the spotlight on Friday, the day most awaited by large retailers. Among the value highlight are cell phones, televisions, supplements, notebooks and refrigerators. In terms of sales volume, clothing, supplements, sneakers, beauty products, and Christmas decorations appear at the top of the list of best-selling items.

The best-selling categories include Electronics, Home Appliances, Tools & Construction, Auto Parts, and Home & Decor, in this order. Furthermore, Fashion, Beauty and Supermarket remain highly sought-after categories during the period.

“It is interesting to see that, in terms of quantity of items, personal and home-use products stand out, ranging from recurring-use items to Christmas decorations. Seeing refrigerators among the top 5 in value, alongside cell phones and televisions, is a sign of Mercado Livre's consolidation as a shopping destination for high-value categories, such as major appliances,” states Roberta Donato, vice-president of Mercado Livre.

In addition to highlighting the most purchased products by consumers, Mercado Livre also provides resources capable of ensuring a more assertive purchase. This is the case of the Black Friday Seal, which highlights items with the lowest price in the last 60 days and with a minimum discount of 51% off the original price and high relevance in sales and searches, serving as a technological validation that directs customers to truly promotional products, helping to identify the over 70 million offers available daily on the marketplace.

By the end of Black Friday, Mercado Livre will have made available R$ 100 million in coupons, in addition to competitive installment conditions, with up to 24 interest-free installments, for purchases made on Mercado Livre using the Mercado Pago credit card and free shipping on orders over R$ 19.
