Peak shipping quotes on Black Friday happens first thing in the morning

The Black Friday phenomenon continues to mobilize Brazilian retail and consumers. According to Ipsos, 76% of consumers plan to use Black Friday 2024 promotions to anticipate Christmas purchases, with an average ticket higher than R$ 500. The date, already consolidated in the national calendar, confirms its impact with the figures presented by Intelipost, leader in logistics intelligence, in a report exclusive to its more than 700 customers. 

According to Intelipost, the biggest peaks of freight quotes on the famous Friday occur at 8am and 18am, revealing the anxiety of consumers to take advantage of offers early in the day. Another relevant data is the night behavior in the days before and after Black Friday. On Thursday, for example, there was a significant increase of 38% in quotes compared to 2022, with peaks concentrated between 20h and 22h - an evidence that consumers are increasingly attentive and strategic when monitoring promotions. 

Black Friday 2023 also recorded records in Intelipost TMS: on the eve, there were more than 20 thousand freight quotes per minute, while the peak on Friday reached an impressive 25 thousand quotes per minute.
