Brazilians are feeling in their pockets the increase in Easter egg prices, but even so, they still don't want to stop gifting special people. A survey carried out by Zoox Smart Data points out that 44,96% of Brazilians intend to buy chocolates this year, while 29% chose not to go shopping and 26.061tp3 t remain undecided.
For 58,21% of respondents who have not yet purchased the eggs or are in doubt, the main reason is the increase in the price of chocolates this year. The claim of 66,13% of Brazilians is to spend only R$ 100 on chocolates, while 20.94% want to spend up to R$ 200 and 12,93% up to more than R$ 300.
This point, price and promotion, was in the ranking of the causes that most influence when buying chocolate in this period, with 58.08%, followed by brand and quality (33.86%) and packaging and gifts (10.05%).
The high value caused the number of people presented to decrease this year. According to the survey, 63,31% intend to give chocolates to up to two people, while the public's 21,62% should give more than five people to four and 15,07%.
Although many Brazilians opt for other forms of chocolate, such as boxes of chocolates and bars, Easter eggs continue to be the leaders in the public's preference, being the main option to buy 64,93% of the interviewees, following chocolate bars (20,32%) and box of chocolates (14,75%).
Even with the form of e-commerce, the supermarket remains the main place when buying chocolates, being the option of 51,82% of Brazilians, while 33,17% opt for specialized stores and chocolatiers, artisanal sellers (8,70%) and internet (6,31%).
The survey was carried out between April 12th and 15th and had 3,596 respondents.
