A new feature from Spotify has just arrived for Brazilian users, allowing them to visually customize their playlist covers directly in the mobile app. The functionality is another way to materialize the platform’s customization, connecting aesthetics, music, and personal identity.
The feature offers an intuitive and creative interface, where users can customize covers with their own images, text effects, colors, gradients, graphic elements, and exclusive stickers. All without leaving the app.
To use it, simply select a user-created playlist, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and click ‘Create Custom Cover.’ The result can be saved, edited, and shared with friends or on social media.

Aesthetics and visual identity are central elements in how Generation Z connects with the digital world. This generation consumes, shares, and interacts with music not just based on sound affinity but as a direct extension of their personality, mood, and values. Spotify’s new feature strengthens this relationship by allowing each playlist to also carry a unique and personal visual.
