With the estimated revenue of R$ 7.93 billion in e-commerce with Black Friday this year, according to ABComm, e-commerce is preparing for the date with special attention to the largest responsible for abandonment of carts: freight. Intelipost, leader in logistics intelligence in Brazil, is already prepared for the period, with improvements to meet demand and traffic peaks.
The Intelipost TMS allows scalability, optimization of transport routes and a real-time analysis of operation data. In 2023, there were 25 thousand freight quotes per minute on Black Friday and more than 600 thousand orders transacted throughout the day. Now, with a portfolio of more than 700 customers, the company expects to exceed these numbers.
“Our customer satisfaction in November Black 2023 was 98.8% and at Black Friday + Cyber Monday reached an incredible 100%. We reached these numbers because we are always ready to meet the different needs and these customers understood the real impact that logistics has on the customer journey”, says Ross Saario, CEO of Intelipost.
Currently, the cart abandonment rate is around 70%, with 48% of this percentage related to delivery costs.“When you give importance to freight, especially on seasonal dates like this, with a logistics management, optimizes the operation and consequently converts more sales”, explains Ross.
For 2024, Intelipost customer support hours will be extended during Black November and Cyber Monday, and an advanced monitoring model for its APIs and services will be deployed, segmented by support and usage levels. Each team will be responsible for a specific area, with custom dashboards and alerts to ensure efficiency.
Grendene, one of the largest footwear companies in the world, believes it is more prepared for the date this year, both in terms of technology and delivery logistics, mainly because of the partnership with Intelipost, which has already resulted in a drop of 13% in undue charges with carriers and only 2% of divergences during conciliation. This optimization linked to the distribution of volumes during November Black, instead of a concentration of orders on date, brings a better customer experience and greater operational financial efficiency.
Intelipost also provides pre and post seasonal reports for its customers to prepare with the data and behaviors presented. In 2023, compared to the previous year, the volume of quotations on Thursday pre Black Friday had an increase of 38%, indicating that people were better programmed to monitor in advance possible promotions and shopping opportunities and, on Black Friday itself the largest peak of quotations happened already at 8 am, showing how expected the date is.
