GFT Technologies Announces Fabiana Piesigilli as New COO in Brazil

GFT Technologies, a global digital transformation company focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), announces the arrival of Fabiana Piesigilli as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Brazil, since the beginning of August. With over 23 years of experience in the market leading digital transformation and IT strategy projects in financial sector companies in Brazil and abroad, Fabiana’s main goal is to combine the AI-Centric and customer-oriented vision with the company’s sustainable growth, ensuring that GFT in the country continues its expansion efficiently without sacrificing agility.

To achieve this, she intends to combine strategic vision, execution capability, focus on operational excellence, and closeness with teams and clients. ‘We are an AI-Centric company and have our own tools, such as Wynxx, which accelerates important stages of the software development cycle. In this highly competitive environment, we need to continue differentiating ourselves through continuous innovation and execution excellence,’ she states.

Therefore, one of her challenges will be to continue leading the technological evolution of GFT locally, keeping the team updated and connected with the real needs of the market and clients. This vision is fully aligned with the company’s strategic goal of being the best partner in responsible AI-centered digital transformation in the world. GFT in Brazil recorded a 38% increase in its workforce in 2024 and an 18% growth in revenue. And GFT’s global plan for the next five years is ambitious: growing from €871 million in revenue in 2024 to around €1.5 billion in 2029. ‘Soon, AI will become a commodity for both the consulting market and clients. So, it is essential to anticipate the changes and trends that are already happening.’

Another important goal for GFT, which Fabiana will support, is to expand the company’s presence in other segments it operates in, beyond finance. Fabiana believes that with the strength of the team and the company’s expertise in digital transformation and AI, there is ample room for collaboration and consistent growth.

Fabiana brings to GFT her vast experience in major consultancies and financial institutions, such as C6 Bank, Accenture, and Everis (now NTT Data), leading IT architecture projects, core banking implementation, and business area transformations. She has also been ‘on the other side of the counter,’ as a portfolio manager and client of technology services. This background will help her deeply understand the challenges of operations and clients, enabling her to act strategically in complex environments with a focus on concrete solutions and clarity of purpose.

To achieve the intended results, the executive plans to engage the team through a shared vision, encouragement of continuous development, and recognition of achievements, based on a leadership model that prioritizes closeness, trust, active listening with clear objectives, and empathy. ‘I want to maintain an environment where people feel they belong and are motivated to give their best.
