Survey of OLX, the largest market of classified used products in the country, points out that the refrigerator/refrigerator are the second-hand appliances that lead in sales through the platform, between January and November, with 41.8% of participation. The stove/cooktop occupies the vice-leadership, with 21%, and the air-conditioning third place, with 14.4%.

“Our digital environment brings together consumers who identify with a new mentality of valuing semi-new and used goods in Brazil. Products for the home, such as household appliances, show how users already recognize the financial advantages of second-hand items”, explains Flavio Passos, VP of Autos and Consumer Goods of the OLX Group.“Items are also a great opportunity to get extra income. The Seller Profile survey, conducted by OLX, shows that the Brazilians interviewed estimate to raise, on average, R$ 2 thousand with the sale of unused items, which already makes the difference in the budget, complements.

Most sought-after categories

The refrigerator/cooler was also the most sought after in the period, with 44%, followed by air conditioning, with 18.4%, and stove/cooktop, with 17.2% of participation.

More announced

The refrigerator/refrigerator also lead among those announced, with 31.2%, but with less clearance compared to the second place, the air conditioning, which has 22.1% of share. Third is the stove/cooktop, with 19.2%.

How to make an online purchase more safely

For sales and purchases under the OLX Guarantee, deliveries are available throughout Brazil via Correios, Jadlog, Clique e Retire, Loggi, and R3 Transportes. Always check your sales history and how your product will be shipped in the logged-in area of the website or app;
