The carioca Somos Hunter was born with the mission of transforming the mobility market in Brazil by connecting app drivers without a car to people with cars available for rent. But this was only its beginning. From there, the company expanded and, today, allows the customer to personally enjoy the car that rents while using it to work 'what is possible through Hunter Pay, its own digital bank that offers alternative investment modalities.
Hunter Pay operates as a fintech & IT with strategic partners such as DIMENSA (Join Venture of TOTVS with B3) and CELCOIN (company of the BoostLAB group, business hub of BTG Pactual), its main supplier of technological infrastructure and Baas, to independently manage financial transactions of Somos Hunter. With the minimum contribution of R$ 5 thousand, tied to a vehicle quota, account holders can contribute to the purchase of a car, while Hunter facilitates the process by dividing the cost of the rental.
“When investing in Hunter Pay, you are applying for an asset, whether it is a car or a motorcycle, which is rented at our rental companies. We do not require proof of income or a clean name in the market. We grant credit to those who do not normally have access, reinforcing our social commitment”, says Iago Iule, CMO of the Hunter Group. The registered driver base already exceeds 90 thousand, and Hunter offers them not only vehicles, but also profitability in the account, investment opportunities, insurance and a benefit club, currently under development, with implementation forecast for the first half of 2025.
Despite a shy initial reception in 2019, the company quickly realized the need to make the process more accessible and practical for customers. Even facing the pandemic, Hunter has had exponential growth. Today, it captures about R$ 2 million monthly and already has the support of large automakers.
Focusing on the driver experience, the company offers a simplified service, with a social analysis process made 100% by chatbot on WhatsApp. “In just two minutes, we check the driver profile, race history, marital status, residence and whether it meets the main transport applications”, comments the executive.
With plans to expand to new states, Hunter is preparing to strengthen its communication and institutional image, attracting new investments and consolidating itself as a reference in the sector.
Circular economy
The circular economy concept aims to minimize waste and maximize the reuse of resources, promoting the regeneration of materials and products to extend their useful life cycle. Instead of following the linear model of production, consumption and disposal, it values recycling, reuse and recovery of materials, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and the creation of a more efficient and resilient economy.
This investment model reinforces Hunter's commitment to integrating sustainability and economic inclusion.“In Hunter, this concept is applied through investment in vehicles rented by app drivers, ensuring that assets are used efficiently and continuously”, Iago Iule analyzes.
By investing in vehicle quotas with Hunter Pay, customers are allowing vehicles to be rented and reused, creating a positive impact on the labor market and contributing to the circular economy.
According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation report, adopting circular economy practices can generate a global economy of up to US$ 4.5 trillion by 2030, as well as significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
